The Town of Granby (the "Town") is seeking proposals from qualified development entities for the purposes of developing an affordable senior (those age 55 and over) housing development, assisted living facility, or congregate living facility on the former Kearns School property, located at 5 Canton Road (the "Site"). Prospective developers are requested to submit proposals that will best meet the overall social, financial, and development interests of the community. The Town contemplates that the acquisition may be accomplished by means of either a purchase or a lease of the property. This RFP is intended to encourage and allow each respondent the flexibility to propose an approach that will be beneficial to both the respondent and the Town. The Town reserves the right to amend or terminate this RFP, reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total proposal, and to waive informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All questions regarding this Request for Proposals shall be submitted via email only to Abby Kenyon, Director of Community Development, akenyon@granby-ct.gov. All questions shall be presented at least electronically by 12:00 p.m. on Friday August16, 2024 to allow for the preparation and distribution of addenda.
