It is the intent of the College of Lake County (CLC) to enter into an Agreement with a Professional Contractor to remove existing pavement and re-pave Parking Lot 2 on the Grayslake Campus per provided drawings and specs. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the College of Lake County for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount. Installation work under this contract shall comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act of the State of Illinois, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. and Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30ILCS 570/0.01 et. Seq.). Should the bidder require additional information about this bid, please submit questions via email to:bids@clcillinois.edu. Questions are required no later than 4:00 P.M. CST on July 24, 2024. All responses will be posted on the College website by 4:00 P.M. CST on July 25, 2024. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of (90) ninety days after the closing date without the consent of the College. The successful Contractor shall furnish within ten (10) calendar days after being notified of the award of bid: 10.1. A performance bond satisfactory to the College, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the purchase order issued by the College as security for the faithful performance of the College's contract; and 10.2. A payment bond satisfactory to the College, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and materials to the Contractor or Subcontractors for the performance of work provided for in the contract, in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the purchase order issued by the College.
