Goose Lake Aluminum Treatments. Site Address: 9749 10st N. 4. The bid of the lowest responsible and responsive bidder is intended to be accepted on or before the expiration of 15 days after the date of the opening of bids. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities, informalities or discrepancies, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the Valley Branch Watershed District. Description: The Work includes purchasing, delivering, storing, and applying liquid aluminum sulfate and liquid sodium aluminate (together referred to in the Contract Documents as aluminum) to the lake to mitigate the internal release of phosphorus from lake sediment. There are two applications of aluminum proposed for Goose Lake. The Work is to be completed by October 31, 2024 for the 1st application and by May 29, 2026 for the 2nd application. The 2nd application must not commence until favorable conditions in the spring of 2026. This project was awarded a Minnesota Clean Water Legacy Fund Grant and therefore prevailing wages apply to this contract.
