Construction of a pedestrian pathway project. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals is underway from qualified consultants to provide engineering and design services in preparation for the development of a pedestrian pathway project through a construction tender process and to act as contract administrator and coordinating consulting professional throughout construction. The Consultant will develop and provide all drawings, details and specifications required to issue a request for tender for the construction of the pathway, act as the coordinating professional during construction, provide contract administrative services and inspection services as required. The City will establish a Working Group consisting of representatives from the City's Engineering, Planning and Operations departments, The Nature Trust of BC and Snaw-Naw-As First Nation to advise the successful consultant throughout the process. The scope of work will include the following: General Requirements o Identify, retain, coordinate and manage all required consultants for the design team (artistic elements excluded). o Provide clear and consistent service delivery model, service level, and tools and technology; o Provide project progress via email twice per month to support external communication managed by the City and its partners. o Clarify risks, key considerations and permitting requirements, based on technical assessment, and working group input.
