Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dover, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The contractor's work is identified on the bid drawings including installing blocks, salt shed superstructure and fabric, bituminous pavement, furnishing metal loading ramp, and R&R screen fencing Estimated Cost $310,000. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Cert. and Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. SCOPE OF WORK The Work under this contract consists of construction a new salt shed facility for the Town of Dover. The contractor's work is identified on the bid drawings and will begin with installing the proposed salt shed blocks on the subgrade (the subgrade will be previously prepared by the Owner). The Contractor's scope of work includes installing the salt shed blocks (per stamped concrete block foundation plans prepared by a PE licensed in MA), installing the salt shed superstructure and fabric, installing bituminous pavement within the salt shed footprint, installing a metal loading ramp, and removing and installing screen fencing as shown on the bid drawings. The Contractor's scope of work is not epected to include generation of surplus soils or soil management. Should the Contractor generate surplus soils or needs to install additional fill material for any reason, they should reference the Soil Handling and Earthwork specifications and notify the Owner, the Owner's LSP, and the Engineer.
