SCOPE OF SERVICE The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District ("District") requests qualified consultants to submit a letter for consideration in the selection for providing professional engineering services for each of the following: production, distribution, and/or collection utility systems owned and operated by the District, namely, potable water ("PW"), waste water ("WW"), and reclaimed water ("RCW"). A summary of tasks related to the assessment, planning, design, and construction services includes, but are not limited to the following: o Capital improvement and utility master planning; o Preliminary engineering assessments and conceptual design; o Design service including the development of plans, specifications, control sequence of operation and integration, details, etc.; o Drawing production in the latest versions of AutoCAD, REVIT and Civil 3D; o Direct replacement and/or upgrade of equipment design and plan development; o Construction administration services; compliance review, inspection, and commissioning; o Project bidding and permitting assistance; o Provide a cost estimating service which, includes, but not limited to conceptual and detailed estimating, life cycle cost analysis, and constructability analysis, etc.; o Value-Engineering alternatives analysis; o Hydraulic modeling in the latest version of AutoDesk, Bentely, or compatible industry accepted software products; o Horizontal direction drill ("HDD") and jack & bore ("J&B") analysis and design using industry accepted simulation tools; o Hot tap/line stop analysis and design using industry accepted means and methods; o By-pass system analysis and design using industry accepted means and methods; o Temporary Traffic Control ("TTC") analysis and design using industry accepted means and methods; o Roadway and intersection restoration and design as applicable to utility designs; o Structural design and analysis as applicable to utility designs; o Topographic survey and geotechnical soils analysis; o Facility engineering design including physical design (civil and structural); o Electrical demolition and construction related to the removal of existing mechanical equipment, auxiliaries, and installation of new or replacement mechanical equipment and auxiliaries/supplemental systems, conduits and controls. This is a representation of the types of tasks or work that may be requested by the District and is not meant to be a comprehensive list. The exact scope of work and scale of the services will be defined during each project initiation. In general, the Engineering firms must be capable of evaluating, designing and providing construction administration services for the production, treatment, distribution, and/or collection of each utility system that is owned by the District. The firm will be required to provide feasibility studies, condition assessments, utility coordination, construction administration support, permitting support, cost estimations, and engineering drawing and specification production and support.
