Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in City of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; for paving for a residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Wilkes-barre Housing Authority East End Towers Ramp and Sidewalk Repairs. All Bids Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or a Bid Bond Made Payable to the Wilkes-barre Housing Authority With Corporate Surety in an Amount of Not Less Than Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid as a Guarantee That the Bidder Will Execute the Contract if Awarded the Same. The Surety Bond, Bid Bond, and the Attorney-infact That Executes the Bond on Behalf of the Surety Shall Affix to the Bond a Certified and Current Copy of the Power-of-attorney. If the Bid is Not Accepted, the Bid Will Be Returned to the Bidder. The Person Submitting the Request Shall Be Responsible for Its Prompt Delivery. Interpretations or Corrections of Proposed Contract Documents Will Be Made Only by Addendum and Will Be Mailed or Delivered to Each Bidder of Record. The Owner Will Be Responsible for Any Other Explanations or Interpretations of the Proposed Contract Documents. Within Three (3) Days Following the Date of Execution of the Contract, the Successful Bidder Shall Deliver the Performance Bond and Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Sum, and a Certificate of Insurance in the Amounts Specified. The Agreement Shall Include a Stipulation That Liquidated Damages Will Be Paid in the Amount of $200.00 / Consecutive Calendar Day Following the Deadline Date as Set Forth in the Owner / Contractor Agreement Will Be Paid to the Owner. The Contract Time Shall Be 90 Consecutive Calendar Days From the "Contract Signing". If Any Person Contemplating Submitting a Bid for the Performance of the Work is in Doubt as to the True Meaning of Any Part of the Contract Documents, He May Submit to the Architect/engineer a Written Request for Interpretation Thereof No Later Than Five (5) Days Before Bids Will Be Opened. In the Event the Bidder Fails, Within Ten (10) Days After Notice of Award, to Sign the Contract or Fails to Comply With the Bonding or Insurance Requirements Hereinafter Stated, the Good Faith Deposit (Bid Bond) Shall Be Forfeited to the Housing Authority as Liquidated Damages. Within Ten (10) Days After the Notice of Award, the Successful Bidder Shall Execute the Agreement Between the Owner and the Contractor. Wilkes-barre Housing Authority Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids and to Waive Any Informality in the Bidding. Question Deadline 08/09/2024 No pre-bid submissions will be considered, unless a written request by the bidding Contractor is made to the Architect / Engineer for approval at least five (5) working days prior to the due date ofthe bid. Proposed substitutions requested by any Contractors not complying to the above will not be given consideration.
