Whole building renovation to 20 Collinstown Road facility and addition of office space. Work includes general construction, HVAC, electrical and plumbing as detailed in the technical specifications and construction documents. Questions Will Not Be Answered Over the Phone. Bidders Are Cautioned to Obtain and Review the Plans and Specifications in Advance of This Date. The Board of Health Will Consider All Requests for Technical Modifications to the Plans and Specifications and Will, if Necessary, Issue an Addendum. Addenda Will Be Issued Only in the Exceptional Case Where the Issue Involved is of Sufficient Importance to Materially Affect the Bidding Process. No Proposal Will Be Considered Unless Accompanied by a Consent of Surety, Plus a Bid Guarantee in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Base Bid, Not to Exceed $20,000.00, in the Form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, Binding the Bidder to Execute a Contract and Furnish the Required Performance Bond Within Ten (10) Days After Notification of Acceptance of the Bid. A Non-collusion Affidavit Shall Also Be Submitted. the Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance Bond for the Faithful Performance of the Contract in an Amount Not Less Than 100% of the Total Price for the Completed Contract. Said Bond to Be That of an Approved Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey, and Acceptable to the Board of Health. The Contractor is responsible to complete all work as shown on the Contract Documents, and as may reasonably be required and not shown, to fully complete the work shown. a. Interior renovations at the Office Building and Animal Shelter located at 20 Collinstown Road, Barnegat, NJ. b. Two (2) separate additions at the Office Building. c. Partial demolition of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems serving the Office Building and Animal Shelter. d. Installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to accommodate the new layouts of the Office Building and Animal Shelter. 2. Contractor is responsible for maintaining all existing roof warranties throughout installation of roof-mounted equipment. B. PHASING 1. The project will be phased as noted below: a. Phase I: Office Building b. Phase II: Animal Shelter 2. Phase I shall begin immediately upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed
