The City of South Burlington is requesting bids to enter into a contract for the installation of approximately 10 LF of new 16" DI sewer forcemain, 10 LF of new 14"DI sewer forcemain, 23 LF of new 18" PVC gravity sewer, 95 LF of new 16" PVC sewer forcemain, 17 LF of new 14" PVC sewer forcemain, one (1) new 12'x6' forcemain discharge structure, and necessary appurtenances. Question Deadline 10/25/2024 10:00 AM Before submitting a proposal all bidders must carefully examine all documents and specifications provided, including VTrans Permit #46526, visit the work site, and fully inform themselves as to all existing conditions. All questions by prospective bidders must be submitted by October 25th, 2024 at least (7) seven days before the bid opening. The selected Contractor shall commence the work described under this contract on the date of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete all work no later than July 15 th , 2025, or prior to the closing of paving plants. VTrans has provided approval for the contractor to perform the work with a one-lane closure during daytime working hours. The contractor is encouraged to maximize the work time during the day to reduce the overall duration of impact. Night work for the bypass piping interconnections may still be required.
