Renovation of a municipal facility in Carson, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,448-square-foot municipal facility.
General Description of Work: Renovate per floor plan. 1. Bonding, Insurance & Mobilization 2. Ground Floor North Wing 3. Ground Floor East Wing 4. Ground Floor South West Wing 5. Second Floor Lobby 6. Second Floor Lobby - Display Case 7. Second Floor City Council Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Prospective Contractor Questions Due: 7/25/2024 | 10:00 AM All bid questions shall be submitted online through PlanetBids by the due date and time listed on the Invitation for Bids. The City will coordinate responses and post them to PlanetBids by five (5) calendar days prior to the bid deadline for all interested bidders to review. Bidders are not to contact City personnel or Elected Officials with any questions or clarifications concerning this Invitation for Bids other than through PlanetBids. Any City response for this IFB that is not posted through PlanetBids is unauthorized and will be considered invalid. Estimated total for entire project is $3.21M. SCOPE The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction of the restroom facilities, including all incidental work described in the contract documents. The scope of work is contained in the contract documents. C. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Renovation of existing (4)men and (4)women restrooms to provide the removal and replacement of all elements down to studs to upgrade the restrooms and meet current ADA standards. New walls, fire-rated as scheduled, doors, and hardware. New wall tile, floor tile and paint. New plumbing fixtures(water closets, urinals, lavatories) to be relocated as planned and tied into existing lines. New floor mounted partitions and privacy screens. New ceiling, lighting, and HVAC registers to be tied into existing electrical and mechanical systems. Refinish water heater closet and door to match new work where occurs. New soffits with low voltage LED stirp lighting where occurs. 2. 3. 4. Renovation of (1)co-ed restroom to update fixtures and finishes down to studs. New wall tile, floor tile and paint. New plumbing fixtures and accessories to be tied into existing lines. New ceiling, lighting, and HVAC registers to be tied into existing electrical and mechanical systems. New soffit with low voltage LED strip lighting. Existing door and fame to be refinished to match new work. Renovation of (1)break/meeting room to provide the removal and replacement of all elements except flooring doors and walls. New wall tile and paint. New upper and lower cabinetry, hardware, and hinges. New kitchen fixtures to be extended and tie into existing lines. New ceiling, soffits, lighting, and HVAC registers to be tied into existing electrical and mechanical systems. Existing door and fame to be refinished to match new work. Renovation of (2)kitchenettes to provide the removal of all elements and relocation of kitchenette. Removal of existing door and repair for new case opening. New wall tile, floor tile and paint. New upper and lower cabinetry, hardware and hinges. New plumbing fixtures and accessories to be extended to new location and tied into existing lines. New ceiling, lighting, and HVAC registers to be tied into existing electrical and mechanical systems. Reinstallation of fire hose compartment at new wall. 5. SECTION 01 1000 SUMMARY OF WORK Renovation of (2)kitchenettes to provide updated fixtures and finishes only. All adjacencies to remain. Removal of existing cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and soffits and replace with new upper and lower cabinetry, hardware, and hinges. Plumbing fixtures and accessories to be relocated as planned and tied into existing lines. Existing Lighting to be relocated as needed in ceiling grid. HVAC to remain untouched. New wall/soffit where occurs. 6. 7. Renovation of (1)custodial closet to provide a new breakroom kitchenette area by removing all elements, existing wall and door opening and replace with new walls, fire rated as scheduled. New floor tile, wall tile and paint. New upper and lower cabinetry, hardware and hinges. New kitchen plumbing fixtures to be extended and tie into existing lines. New ceiling, lighting, and HVAC registers to be tied into existing electrical and mechanical systems. Refinish existing water heater closet and door to match new work where occurs. Renovation of (1) displace case area by providing the removal and replacement in its entirety. New full height cabinetry, hardware, and hinges with adjustable shelves and fixed led powered shelves as planned. Secure, lockable glass doors. New wall furring, painted. New low voltage integrated lighting to be tied into existing electrical system. D. All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and local regulations that may apply. In case of conflict in or between the Contract Documents and a governing code or ordinance, the more stringent standard as determined by the Engineer shall apply.
