Statement of Purpose: Schoolcraft County Road Commission (the "Commission") under the direction of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is requesting proposals for a shoulder paving maintenance project on M28 in Seney Township, Schoolcraft County. The entire project must be completed by the final completion date of October 20, 2024. Background Information: The Commission is located in Manistique, MI. It is responsible for the maintenance of the County road system and certain State Trunkline roads located within or adjacent to the County. The Commission has the authority for construction, reconstruction, operating and maintenance of those roads. The Michigan Department of Transportation reserves the right to reject any and all bids. PROJECT LOCATION This maintenance project is on M-28 (Control Section 75061) in Seney Township, Schoolcraft County. The project includes trenching, aggregate base, and HMA surfacing on the south side of M-28. The project is approximately 0.6 miles long starting at a point 400 feet east of Grand St in Seney Township and continuing easterly to the Grand Elk Railroad Crossing. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project will consist of trenching, aggregate base, HMA surfacing, and slope restoration.
