Smokey Bear Digital Sign & Base Fabrication & Installation The Contractor is to furnish and install the digital electronic sign, pour or provide concrete pier footings per specs, fabricate and install the post sign base, install the DNR supplied Smokey the Bear Signs and DNR supplied "Prevent Forest Fires Signs, trench and install contractor supplied underground conduit / electrical feed from the field office building to the sign location & site restoration as follows: - Furnish and Install complete TWO (2) single-sided Daktronics signs, model GS6-60x75-15.85 RGB-@V marquee display, full color, outdoor LED sign 44" tall by 50" wide, housing depth not to exceed 5" with time & temperature feature (additional sign specifications attached). Daktronics signs must include webbased system to control the signs and provide access for three log-ins - Power for the sign will include approximately 75' of Contractor supplied 3/4" underground conduit and feed from the building to the sign location with a disconnect / breaker at the building and an exterior, weather-proof 110v outlet with weather-proof on/off switch to control the sign. - DNR will furnish the Smokey Bear and "Prevent Forest Fires" signs for installation on the Contractor supplied base posts. - Fabricate and install the pier footings and post base per the attached specifications, with post spacing as required to attach the required signage. - Ensure the sign is level and visible to traffic from both directions. - Site restoration after sign installation is complete. Site restoration acceptance at the sole discretion of the DNR Project Manager. Restoration will leave the site in equal to or approved condition per Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications. (Highway Mix is acceptable). - The Contractor is responsible for all permits and inspections (State of Michigan - LARA). - The Contractor is to provide access for three log ins and online training to provide sign operation from a remote location. - Contractor must provide two-week notice of beginning project to allow DNR staff to remove the current sign. Time of Completion: Upon acceptance of the Proposal and Contract by the State, the Contractor agrees to complete all work by the end of the working day: September 15, 2025.
