Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Covert, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project estimate is $290,000. The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: water service, drinking fountain, electrical service, park lighting, 28 ft x 42 ft pavilion, 3,800 square feet of sidewalk, and new playground with 90 linear feet of concrete curbing, and two bike racks. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged.
