Description of work: This project consists of security upgrades for the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board at various school campuses including Livonia High School, Rougon Elementary School, Rosenwald Elementary School, Upper Pointe Coupee Elementary School, and Valverda Elementary School. The work includes new security partitions and storefront entrances with access control and vandal resistant laminate. Add. Alternates: #1 - Provide new Bullet Resistant Level 3 wide style Aluminum Security Doors and Framing in lieu of standard aluminum entrances and vandal resistant laminate. Complete Bidding Documents for this project are available in electronic form. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid Bond form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the surety's agency or attorney-in-fact. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five (5%) by any method is acceptable. Bids shall be accepted from Contractor's who are license under LA. R. S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. The bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA. R. S. 38:2212 (A) (1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R. S. 38:2214. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount.
