Sodium Hypochlorite Solution at All Wastewater Treatment Plants. Under the terms of this bid, the bidder shall be capable of supplying and delivering to The District up to 7,321,500 wet pounds (732,150 gallons) of sodium hypochlorite solution (NaOCl) used to reduce E. coli bacteria concentrations to within the respective National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit limits in the processes at the Easterly, Southerly, and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). This quantity is the estimate needed for twelve (12) months. This quantity is the estimate needed for a one (1) year period or until funds appropriated to this contract are exhausted, whichever should occur first. By submission of this bid, the bidder warrants that it is understood that this estimate was prepared by The District for the purpose of comparison of bids and that the estimated quantity is not guaranteed. The treatment plants are in operation seven (7) days per week, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Bidder shall be capable of providing on-site technical assistance throughout the term of the contract. All bidders must provide a 24-hour contact name and phone number on letterhead paper, with their bid. The deadline for submission of questions shall be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 In addition, the bidder warrants that it is understood that The District reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount purchased, as The District may deem desirable.
