Both the Bard WA351 and the Bard36A2-A00 have 60A 208V single phase circuits. The AC compressor portion of the units and the heating component are nonconcurrent loads. Therefore, there is no need for a separate circuit just for the heating strips. (If that is what the contractor is implying.) Q3: If the current electrical configuration cannot support the new heat load can contractors offer bard wall mounted heat pumps. A3: The Contractor may submit equal performing material. I would like to point out that if heat pumps were to be installed the heat pumps would also need heat strips for when the heat pump switches from heating to cooling during defrost cycles.
