The Town of Liberty Public Library, located at 239 South Fayetteville Street, seeks Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) for a professional firm to provide feasibility planning, preliminary and final design, bidding-phase services, and construction administration services for the expansion of the library. The portion of the building housing the library was built in 1966 and is approximately 3,100 square feet. It has been identified that 20,000 square feet total would support the library currently and provide ample space for the future. The phase one scope of this project is review of the existing project site for feasibility and develop preliminary drawings to include a conceptual site plan, floor plan, and elevations. The overall redesign and expansion of the library is anticipated as a community center that is literacy based, a "third space", and access to more educational and experiential opportunities.
