Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The base bid includes concrete curb, permeable pavers, fencing, and plantings. This work will be performed under one (1) general contract. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the price of the bid, which sum shall be specifically set forth in the surety bond with a reference to the specific bidding document, as a guarantee that if the proposal be accepted a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. The City of New Castle reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to make such award as most advantageous to the City. WORK LIMITS, MEASUREMENTS, AND QUANTITIES BASE BID: All work will be contained between the sidewalk on East Washington Street, Apple Alley, the existing building and the unnamed asphalt alley behind the vacant lot: 1. Landscape Block = 75 L.F. 2. Fencing = 155 L.F. 3. Permeable Pavers = 1,740 S.F. 4. Bollards = 14 EA 5. "Hearts of Gold" Planting = 4 EA 6. "The Rising Sun" Planting = 1 EA 7. Ilex Gabra "Densa" Planting = 12 EA 8. Hydrangea Panticulata "Bobo" = 30 EA 9. Double Knock Out Roses = 30 EA 10. Dog Park Surface = 1,700 S.F. 11. Topsoil = 34 C.Y. 12. Decorative Landscape Stone = 480 S.F. 13. Hydroseeding = 1,760 S.F. 14. Plain Cement 18" Concrete Curb = 100 L.F. 15. Water Fountain (Install Complete) = 1 L.S. 16. Benches = 2 EA
