All questions regarding this Request should be directed in writing; preferably by email to Clay Smallwood, P.E. at csmallwood@gulfcounty-fl.gov. Questions shall be submitted no later than 12:00 PM (Eastern) on August 12, 2024. The County reserves the right to determine whether a proposal is responsive and to waive any technicalities or requirements contained therein. All contractors and subcontractors performing work on this project shall have current licenses and permits that may be required for the particular work for which they are engaged to perform. Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 USC 3141-3148). When required by Federal program legislation, all prime construction contracts in excess of $2,000 awarded by non-Federal entities must include a provision for compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC. 3141-3144, and 3146-3148) as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5, “Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Covering Federally Financed and Assisted Construction”). In accordance with the statute, contractors must be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor This section includes materials, testing, and installation of packaged, skid-mounted chemical feed systems. Components include 1. Metering pumps to pump the chemical from the storage tanks to the point of application. 2. Interconnecting piping. 3. Isolation, control, and relief valves within the piping. 4. Controls for the above components. 5. Water piping connections for connecting to external sources for flushing. 6. AC variable speed drives as specified herein. 7. Electrical power and control wiring and conduit between the above components. 8. A control panel for local control of the feed system and for sending and receiving alarms and control signals to or from an external plant wide control system. 9.
