Queen’s University campus consists of approximately 117 buildings, located on 3 separate campuses and a physical area of 65HA. Community Housing has an additional 70 properties including 2 multi-residential complexes at various locations. Scope of Work: The supplier will be expected to provide: all personnel, equipment, vehicles, supplies required to provide services for coverage of all specified areas and sufficient to meet defined service level requirements. The successful contractor will work with Queens to develop a plan to achieve optimal service levels. The scope of work includes but is not limited to clear snow and apply de-ice mix on parking lots, on street parking, internal roadways, stairwells, steps, walks and ramps at designated building entrances to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicular traffic on Queen’s University property. An annual pre and post season area inspection are also required. Supplier shall be expected to have parking lots, on street parking, steps, walks and ramps clear, safe and passable by 7:00AM EST daily (including weekends) unless otherwise instructed in writing. In case of continuous snowfall, supplier is expected to be actively managing snow and ice accumulations until end of weather even and bare, ice free and safe conditions are achieved. The expected annual clearing period is from November 1 to March 31 with a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week requirement response time required to meet operational needs.
