Pool Pump Replacement Harmon Park Scope of Work: The City of Kearney desires to have the recirculation pump replaced at the Harmon Park swimming pool facility. The work will include the removal of the existing pool pump, strainer, associated pipe, valves and appurtenances. Provide and install a new pump, strainer, flowmeter, and associated pipe, valves and appurtenances. Description of the scope of work and limitations include the following: The Contractor shall remove the existing pump, strainer and associated pipe and valves. The pump suction pipe shall be removed from the pump into the surge tank. The pump discharge pipe shall be removed from the pump to the 90 bend indicated in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The pump, pump stand and strainer shall be removed. All materials must be disposed of in compliance with State regulations. The Contractor shall provide and install a new pump, strainer, PVC schedule 80 pipe, valves, flowmeter and appurtenances per attached specifications. All PVC pipe shall be Schedule 80 PVC per specifications. Flanged fittings shall be used where unions are required in pipes. Flanges shall be VanStone Style, Schedule 80 PVC, per specifications. Provide and install specified flowmeter. Install flowmeter downstream of the pump and in accordance with manufactures requirements. Verify location of the flowmeter with the engineer prior to installation. Provide and install a stainless-steel pump stand meeting pump manufacture requirement. Provide shop drawings to Engineers for review and approval prior to installation. Reconnect the existing chemical controller sample line. The Contractor shall inspect the work site and be familiar with the working area and conditions under which the construction will take place. Claims for additional payment will not be considered by the Owner unless the scope of work has been modified. The Owner requires all work to be completed by May 15, 2025.
