Construction Of, Variable Thickness Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, Variable Concrete Curb and Gutter, 5" Concrete Walk, Gravel Filling, Concrete Removals, Pavement Marking, Tree Clearing & Grubbing, Etc.; Located At North 20th Street Powerline and Beerline Trail Pedestrian/Bike Improvements (Wisconsin Department of Transportation ID No. 2984-22-75) Time for Completion: All work shall be completed by November 30, 2024 Liquidated Damages, per diem, will be calculated as per Section 108.11 of WisDOT Standard Specifications. The apprenticeship requirements for this project are: N/A The SBE requirement for this project is 0% of the contract base bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through Bid Express and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. General. Perform the work under this construction contract for Project 2984-22-75, 20th St Power Line & Beerline Trail, Olive St - Villard Ave & 20th St -24th St located in the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin as the plans show and execute the work as specified in the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, standard specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, 2024 Edition, as published by the State, and these special provisions. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall also refer to the City of Milwaukee 'Street Construction Specifications' of the Department of Public Works dated July 1, 1992 and all subsequent addenda, as they shall be held responsible for all requirements listed therein. If all or a portion of the plans and special provisions are developed in the SI metric system and the schedule of prices is developed in the US standard measure system, the City will pay for the work as bid in the US standard system. 2. Scope of Work. The work under this contract shall consist of constructing a 10-foot wide shared use asphalt trail, high visibility crosswalk, curb extensions, median refuges and way finding signs, erosion control, grubbing and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. 104-005 (20090901)
