American Legion Building Exterior Upgrade. Project consists of re-shingling, painting and ADA compliant wheel chair exterior accessible stairs and deck. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. SCOPE OF WORK Part 1) Shingling and outside wood trim repair, and trim painting Experienced contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and materials necessary, building permits, and meet all ADA compliant requirements for work requested at this location. Strip the existing wooden shingles and install new yellow cedar shingles around all the outside of the building. Removal and disposal of all wood shingles. Clean up and removal of waste of property is a must in order to maintain a safe and neat professional appearance. Magnet rollers to pick up any loose nails a must. A vapor barrier to be added (Tyvek or felt paper) for application underneath all the new shingles. Any drip edge missing above windows or doors to be added. Any drip edge above windows and doors in poor shape to be replaced with new. Replace one window on south side of building to match other windows Replace all rotted trim wood and re-paint all exterior trim. Painting: Manufacturers: Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore & Co.; Application: Exterior surfaces. Primary Paint Systems: Spot primer plus two finish coats. Provide all paint products from one manufacturer for entire project. Substitutions: Requests for substitutions will only be considered if equal or better. Part 2) South Side Deck installation and stairs Construct on south side next to door on second floor Deck and Stairs (to attach electric ADA compliant chairlift) Frame new deck landing and stair posts, 14' x 14' deck size Dig and pour sono-tubes and cement pad at bottom of stairs and frame supports for deck Install deck and stars with code compliant frame and supports under floor of deck Install 2x8 pressure treated framing and spaced by code for deck and stairs Install 4x4 pressure treated posts and anchored to concrete Install decking and stair materials 5/4 x 6" AZEK Advanced PVC Decking(or equivalent, no wood fibers), grooved with concealed fasteners
