Project Description: Providing advanced manufacturing, agricultural, automotive, construction trades, health education, information technology, mechatronics, industrial design, supply chain, veterinary, and welding instructional equipment for the new career technical program at KRESA Career Connect Campus. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract Bids shall be received from multiple prime contractors for all work as outlined in the Construction Drawings. 2. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over the construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout. 3. Contractors shall note that the project is subject to the Common Construction Wage Act (effective July 1, 2015) for record-keeping, and all terms of this Act shall be followed in their entirety. 4. The contract form for the project will be AIA Document A101-2017. 5. Contract will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder awarded by the Owner. a. All bids must match the provided product specifications or sufficient information regarding voluntary alternates and be provided with the bid to substantiate conformance to the design intent. b. It is the responsibility of the Owner to make all final contract decisions and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. 6. Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency is tax-exempt. Contractors are responsible for appropriate sales/use tax in accordance with the State of Michigan Department of Treasury Project Location: Career Connect Campus 3500 Vanrick Drive Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001 Pre bid Meeting: A Pre bid meeting and tour is not scheduled at this time Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a surety bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond, and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required as part of each Bid The Owner reserves the right to withdraw this bid request at any time and for any reason and to issue such clarifications, modifications and/or amendments as it may deem appropriate. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any part of the bid, accept or reject any of all bids, alternates, or proposals, and to accept those bids, alternates, or proposals that, in Owner's judgement, serve the Owner's best interest.
