Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in West Jordan, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,500-square-foot elderly care / assisted living facility.
West Jordan City is seeking bids from Qualified Roofing Contractors to provide a new Membrane Roof at the West Jordan Senior Center located at 8025 S. 2200 W., West Jordan, Utah. a. Cut and remove the existing membrane and dispose of it properly All costs for disposal must be included in the contractor's replacement cost on Cost Schedule A. b. Inspect and replace bad insulation. The Contractor will need to specify the cost per board feet in the bid. Insulation replacement shall be pre-approved by the City for quantity greater than 100 bd ft. c. Install the Membrane roof according to the manufacturer's installation requirements d. Membrane will be white mechanically fastened 60 mil TPO membrane over insulation e. Install membrane on and over the top of walls. f. Per manufacturer specifications, the contractor shall install the required base flashing around piping and penetrations. g. Contractors will be responsible for all roof debris with safe removal and disposal. Job site cleaning and final inspection are required. h. Contractor shall provide a minimum 20-year roofing manufacturer zero deductible no fixed dollar limit warranty, including labor and materials. The Contractor shall provide a minimum 5-year workmanship warranty. i.Install new 24 gauge standing seam cap metal. j. The specified roofing system must be installed by a certified Authorized Roofing Applicator and hold a minimum S280 contractor's license. The Contractor will need to provide a copy of their applicator certification with the IFB. k. Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience under the current business name with a current business license. l. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining the proper building permit through the City of West Jordan Building Department. As this is a City project, the Contractor will not be required to pay a permit fee. m.As access to this property will be maintained during regular business hours. The contractor must ensure that appropriate safety measures and protections are always provided. n.Work must be completed in 60 days after notice to proceed is given. The resulting agreement shall provide for an assessment of liquidated damages for each calendar day after the established contract completion date that the Work remains incomplete at the rate of $560 per day. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required for this project before a contract can be issued. QUESTIONS DEADLINE: September 9, 2024 @ 10:00 a.m. MT Questions arising subsequent to the issuance of this bid, that could have a significant impact on the responses to the bid, should be submitted in electronically. Answers to questions will be posted on electronically. The successful Contractor may be issued a contract for a period of sixty-two (62) months. a. Cut and remove the existing membrane and dispose of it properly All costs for disposal must be included in the contractor's replacement cost on Cost Schedule A. b. Inspect and replace bad insulation.
