The scope of work consists of the installation of approximately 1,600 linear feet of 4" diameter water line and all appurtenances thereto. The apparent low bidder will be required to submit the following information to the Owner within seven (7) days after the bid opening The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all Bids. Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All Bidders must be licensed General Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and qualifi ed for the type of construction being bid upon. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days aft er the actual date of the opening thereof. During the performance of the Work and until final payment, Contractor and Owner shall submit to the Engineer in writing all matters in question concerning the requirements of the Contract Documents (sometimes referred to as requests for information or interpretation- RFIs), or relating to the acceptability of the Work under the Contract Documents, as soon as possible after such matters arise. Engineer will be the initial interpreter of the requirements of the Contract Documents, and judge of the acceptability of the Work.
