Guardrail Upgrade Project (Various Locations) Federal Project No. HSIPL-5936(140) The project location in the County of Santa Cruz is as follows: Two locations along Old Santa Cruz Highway One location along Spreckels Drive One location along Buena Vista Drive One location along Mt. Madonna Road One location along Lompico Road Work includes construction of Midwest Guardrail System. Major work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of existing guardrail Furnish and install Midwest Guardrail System with terminal ends Complete the work within 30 working days. Question Deadline 08/07/2024 at 5:00 PM PT This project involves the removal of existing substandard guardrail and replacement through installation of new guardrail (Midwest Guardrail System with terminal ends) at various locations along Old Santa Cruz Highway, Spreckels Drive, Buena Vista Drive, Mt. Madonna Road, and Lompico Road to meet current safety standards. All equipment usage for removal and installation of the new railing will occur from the existing asphalt roadways and all work will occur within the existing road prism. Minimal vegetation trimming may be necessary for installation of the new guardrail.
