The overall description of the project, to be completed under one contract, is the pulverizing and repaving of approximately 4,000 feet of a rural street section. The project begins at Duncun Road Lane and extends for approximately 4,000 feet eastward, near Nazda Road. The project includes pulverizing the existing approximately 3-inch asphalt pavement, grading, compaction, asphaltic paving. and shouldering. The approximate units of the major work items are as follows, 1) Pulverize Asphalt yards 9,500 square 2) Furnish and Install Asphalt Binder and Wear Surfaces 1,600 tons 3) Shouldering-300 cubic yards Bids shall be submitted with a minimum 5% Bid Bond. The Town of Ringle reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to award the Contract in the best interest of the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the actual time of opening the bids. A performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the total bid price, together with an executed Agreement in the form prescribed by the Town, will be required of the successful bidder. Scope of Work This work shall consist of the placement of a plant mixed asphaltic concrete surface or pavement on the prepared subgrade in accordance with the specifications and contract and in conformity with the lines, grades and typical sections shown on the plans. Perform asphaltic paving Work in accordance with WDOT Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction 2019 Edition Section 460. The batch plant mixing shall conform to WDOT Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction 2019 Edition. Perform pavement marking in accordance with WDOT Standard Specifications Section 646.
