HQ Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Phase 2, Estimated Cost: $300,000.00 License Requirement: Electrical Contractor. Scope Of Work: Contractor To Furnish The Necessary Permits, Materials, Equipment And Labor To Accomplish The Following: This Project Entails The Installation Of Nine (9) Plug-in Electric Vehicle Pedestal Charging Stations At The Miami-dade Fire Rescue Headquarters. The Work Must Adhere To The Plans Approved By The Miami-dade County Building Department. The Contractor Is Responsible For Submitting All Electrical Equipment, Overcurrent Protection, Disconnects, Conduits, And Other Necessary Items For Approval. The Contractor(S) Must Also Provide The Required Permits, Equipment, Materials, And Labor To Complete The Following Tasks: 1. The Contractor Is Obligated To Replace Any Sod And/or Vegetation Damaged Due To The Project. The Existing Hedges Shall Be Removed And Substituted With Sod. The Replacement Sod Must Be Installed Level With The Existing Sod. Clean Soil Shall Be Utilized For Backfilling Purposes. 2. The Contractor Shall Reinstall All Asphalt Removed Due To The Project With A Minimum Of 1 Inch Of Asphalt. The New Asphalt Shall Match The Existing Pavement. 3. The Backfill Material Shall Consist Of Loose Soil. No Rocks With An Approximate Diameter Of 5 Inches Or Greater Shall Be Utilized. 4. Trenching Shall Have Backfill Compacted Prior To Placing Any Asphalt. 5. Parking Signs And Signposts Shall Be Provided And Installed At The Head Of Each Parking Space Designated For Vehicles. Refer To The Drawing Details For Specific Installation Requirements. Prior To Installation, The Contractor Must Contact The Mdfr Project Manager To Confirm The Exact Locations. 6. Chargepoint@ Charging Stations Shall Be Provided By And Installed By Awarded Contractor. Contractor Will Be Responsible To Communicate With Manufacturer On Equipment Details And Obtain Any And Every Document Associated With The Installation Of The Pedestal Equipment. 7. Upon Receiving Final Electrical Inspection Approval From The Building Department, The Contractor Shall Promptly Notify The Mdfr Project Manager. Subsequently, Mdfr Will Coordinate The Activation Of Charging Stations With The Manufacturer. The Contractor Must Remain Available In Case Coordination Is Required During The Activation Process. 8. Permits And Inspections Are The Sole Responsibility Of The Awarded Contractor. The Plans And Permits Have Already Received Approval From The Miami-dade Building Department. Therefore, The Awarded Contractor Must Submit A Change Of Contractor Application, And Any Fees Associated With The Change Of Contractor Shall Be The Responsibility Of The Contractor. 9. Contractor Shall Keep Work Areas Clean From Debris And Safe At The End Of Each Workday. Disposal Of Debris Will Be At Contractor's Expense. County Dumpsters Onsite Will Not Be Used For This Purpose. 10. Work Hours Are Monday Through Saturday 7am To 5pm. 11. Mdfr Project Manager Must Be Notified Of Any Equipment Or Material Staging And/or Delivery 48 Hours Prior To Arrival. The Last Day For Project Rfi Questions Is Close Of Business On Thursday, August 22, 2024. Any Questions Submitted After Aforementioned Date Shall Not Be Considered. Mdfr Will Review And Answer The Questions, Prior To The Bid Due Date.
