Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Trinidad, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION : This project includes the demolition of the existing parking stall and construction of a new accessible parking stall complete with a new access ramp to the front entrance of the facility as well as constructing a new accessible path of travel linking the new ramp to the public right of way. Each Bid shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of Bidder's Security with a certified check or a cashier's check payable to the County, U.S. Government Bonds, or a Bid Bond executed by an admitted insurer authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California (in the form set forth in said Contract Documents). The Bidder's security shall be in the amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Bid. Bid security must be submitted with the bid. The successful bidder, prior to execution of the Contract, must submit a Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The successful bidder, prior to execution of the Contract, must submit a Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. As actual damages for any delay in completion are impossible of determination, the Contractor and their sureties shall be liable for and shall pay to the County of Humboldt the sum of $1000.00 as fixed, agreed and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay beyond the contract completion date until the work is completed and accepted. The Contractor shall complete the entire project within 150 calendar days from the County's issuance of the "Notice to Proceed". County specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, or re-bid, or to waive minor irregularities from bid requirements. If no bids are received, the County reserves the right to identify interested contractor(s) and negotiate directly without re-bidding. In order to avoid any misinterpretation or misrepresentation between the Bidder, the Architect and the County as regards the plans and specifications for the Project, neither the County nor Architect will respond to any verbal or telephone inquiries, however Bidders may submit written inquiries for clarifications or questions by email, mail or fax to the attention of Travis I Smith, Project Manager, 825 5 th Street, Room 112, Eureka, CA, or by email: ADA@co.humboldt.ca.us Any bid protest must be in writing and must be received by the County Administrative Office, 825 5 th Street, Room 112, Eureka, CA, 95501, or by email at ada@co.humboldt.ca.us before 5:00 p.m. no later than three (3) working days following bid opening
