Laupahoehoe Transfer Station Improvements. Project is located on a portion of TMK (3) 3-5-004:084 at 35-2061 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Laupahoehoe. The project consists primarily of renovating the existing transfer station for a new roof canopy, retaining wall, leachate system, and resurfacing of the existing drop off area in accordance with the plans and specifications. Construction will include a new concrete trailer pad, new chute and roof cover, new retaining wall, addition of leachate inlet and holding tank as well as other related improvements The preference for bidders in apprenticeship programs (reference Special Provisions Section 7.1, Subsection (o) and Item 10, Section (B) shall apply to this project if the estimated cost is $250,000.00 or more, unless it conflicts with any federal Law or if it would disqualify any county agency from receiving federal funds or aid. Prospective Bidders and all interested parties interested in accessing the plans, specifications, terms and conditions, proposals, and addenda must be registered as a Public Purchase Vendor, Hawaii Region, and Hawaii County Agency. The bid opening and pre-bid conference(s) required for this project (if any, as set forth above) are scheduled at venues that are accessible to persons with disabilities.
