As of October 31, 2024, project was awarded to Southeastern Site Development, awarded amount is $130,313.24. repair/replacement of 2 culverts on LL Revell Road in Meriwether County, Georgia. All questions concerning the project shall be addressed in writing to Bill Cawthorne, at b.cawthorne@meriwethercountyga.gov. no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Location mile post 0.81, Replace existing 48" concrete pipe with 60" RCP pipe, concrete headwalls. The outlet end shall have rip-rap pad protection with filter fabric. Pipe shall have stone bed min of 8", Compacted backfill to within 12" of road surface, 8" of GAB, 220 lbs. Asphalt binder, and 220 lbs. of asphalt topping. A minimum of six-foot shoulders is required. Grassing on shoulder. Location mile post 1.10: Remove existing pipe, Install 60" RCP pipe with concrete headwalls. The outlet end shall have rip-rap pad protection with filter fabric. Pipe shall have stone bed min of 8", Compacted backfill to within 12" of road surface, 8" of GAB, 220 lbs. Asphalt binder, and 220 lbs. of asphalt topping. A minimum of six-foot shoulders is required. Grassing on shoulder. The contractor shall field verify elevations and horizontal measurements to insure proper pipe lengths and shoulder are achieved. Contractor may only close one site at a time. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check or acceptable bid bond (Meriwether County form provided) in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid per section and made payable to Board of Commissioners of Meriwether County. Failure to use Meriwether County form may result in bid being deemed non-responsive. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check will be cause for rejection. Meriwether County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise. It is understood that all Bids are made subject to this agreement, that Meriwether County reserves the right to decide which Bid it deems lowest and best, and in arriving at this decision, full consideration will be given to the reputation of the Bidder, his financial responsibility, and work of this type successfully completed. No Bids may be withdrawn after submission for a period of 60 days after the date set for opening thereof. Meriwether County reserves the right to reject any and all bids from any person, firm, or corporation who is in arrears in any department or obligation to Meriwether County, Georgia. Prior to execution of a contract, a Contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract amount per section, must be provided by the successful Bidder by a surety company qualified to do business in the State of Georgia and satisfactory to Meriwether County.
