Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump-sumbasis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period ofsixty (60) days after time and date of opening. A-08. Each bid must be accompanied with a BID BOND (Bond only; certified checks or other forms are not acceptable) in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, payable to the OWNER and issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in order to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly within the terms and conditions stated in this bid and in the bidding and Contract Documents, should the construction contract be awarded to him. A-10. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance on the contract and a bond to secure payment of all claims for materials furnished and/or labor performed in performance of the project, both in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Both bonds shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business with the State of Georgia. All bids submitted shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. A-11. All bids submitted shall be in accordance with the terms ofthe Georgia Vendor Manual and the laws ofthe State of Georgia. A-12. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. The scope of the work for this project includes the renovation of Mountain View Elementary School. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Demolition, replacement of glass, suspended ceiling and grid, vinyl composition tile floor and rubber base, epoxyresinous flooring, painting, replacement oftoilet partitions and accessories, replacement of plumbing fixtures, replacement of toilet room heaters, and electrical work. COMMENCEMENT OF WORK: The undersigned agrees to commence actual physical work on the site with an adequate work force and equipment within ten days of the date of the Notice to Proceed and to complete fully all work by no later than by July 30, 2025
