The project includes removal and disposal of approximately 15,000 LF of gravity sewer and related appurtenances, and construction of approximately 15,000 LF of 24" PVC gravity sewer, 1,000 LF of 18" PVC gravity sewer, 63 manholes, miscellaneous improvements and all related appurtenances. The scope of work shall include furnishing all materials bypass pumping, labor, equipment, and any appurtenances as necessary for completion of the work. The Project will be funded using general funds. Payment for the work will be made periodically based on the Contractor's Applications for Payment. All questions regarding the Project and Proposal Documents must be submitted electronically to the Engineer's office. Please note that questions submitted fewer than ten (10) days before the proposal opening date will not be addressed. The deadline for submitting questions is August 18, 2024. Bond Requirements: Proposals must include a Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Proposal. It shall be in the form of a certified or bank check, a Proposal Bond All bonds must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Proposal Price must be furnished by the successful Contractor before commencing work. Reservation of Rights: Owner reserves the right to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the Proposals, during which time Proposals shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the proposal based on the highest and best interests of the Owner. ***Bid Event: Proposal results are not publicly available until after the award. Proposal Submission Requirements: Proposals must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope. Inside, include two separately sealed, opaque envelopes: one for the TECHNICAL PROPOSAL and one for the COST PROPOSAL. Each envelope must be clearly marked with "Owner Name - Project Name" along with the Proposer's name, address, phone number, and contact information.
