The contractor must have 10 years’ experience in tank and standpipe inspection and repair. They must be experienced in working on elevated water tanks and in confined areas such as pipes and tanks. The contractor must have five (5) years' experience in tank internal and external inspections and in working in contaminated conditions. The contractor must have procedures for protecting personnel working in and around wastewater and in decontaminating equipment used in wastewater. The contractor must have a well-defined safety program with emphasis on elevated work and fall protection. The contractor must have AWS certified welders. Welding coupons for of the type proposed for each job may be required.
