Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Batavia, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of improvements at 3 City parking lots, including HMA surface R&R, spot PCC curb and gutter R&R, block retaining wall R&R,PCC stairs repair and PCC drying bed structure expansion with sanitary sewer connection. Bidders are advised of the following requirements of this contract: 1) Illinois Prevailing Wage Requirements 2) 5% Bid Security with submittal of bid; 3) 110% Performance Security within fifteen (15) calendar days after Contract award; 4) applicable OSHA and EPA requirements; 5)IDOT Certificate of Eligibility for 50% of the contract work. The City Council of the City of Batavia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. The City of Batavia does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities. The Owner reserves the right to require the low bidder to file proof of, within seven (7) days of the bid opening, his ability to finance and execute the project. This proof shall include, but not be limited to, a financial statement, list of equipment owned by bidder, backlog of jobs under a Contract only to a Bidder who furnishes satisfactory evidence that he has the ability, sufficient capital, facilities, and plant to enable him to prosecute the work successfully and promptly, and to complete the work within the time specified in the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers, or proposal submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The Owner reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the award of a Contract for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days after the date of opening the bids. INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: If any person, contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications, or other proposed contract documents, they may submit to the Owner a written request, no laterthan 10:00 A.M. local time, and three business days prior to the bid opening, for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only by an Addendum duly issued by the Owner and a copy of such Addendum will be mailed, faxed, emailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of such documents. All Addenda to Bidders shall be incorporated in the bids and will become a part of the Contract Documents. No oral interpretations by the Owner will be binding; only instructions in writing will be deemed valid.
