Construction Material Testing Services for Robeson Street to Winslow Street. PROJECT SCOPE This project consists of installation of approximately 640 linear feet of twelve (12) inch ductile iron water main along an existing easement between Robeson Street and Winslow Street, including approximately 150 linear feet of main and casing installed by jack and bore to cross under CSX railroad tracks; testing and connection to the existing water system; abandonment of the existing ten (10) inch cast iron water main. The new 12-inch DI main will be connected to the existing 10" CI main beneath Robeson Street. A 21-foot section of section of the 8-inch vitrified clay (VC) sewer will be replaced with 8-inch DI. Installation of 40 feet of copper water service lateral and one meter box. Work to be performed by open cut (50 feet by 13 feet) with 196 square feet mill overlay. A section of 10-inch CI main associated with the Aerial crossing over Blount Creek will be replaced, including the installation of two support piers. Interested firms possessing the necessary expertise to perform the scope of work outlined below are encouraged to submit a proposed cost estimate in accordance with the outlined requirements. Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC) is seeking the services of a qualified construction materials testing firm to provide density/compaction testing on select backfill material, Aggregate Base Course (ABC), and Asphalt Surface Course (ASC). This testing will be performed on the Robeson to Winslow Project Area located at 626 Winslow Street. In addition, an optional service for a soil boring to perform subsurface soil testing and evaluation near Blount Creek between and on 485 Robeson and 535 Robeson Street may be required. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided herein, or exact copies thereof, and the bidder shall return one copy of the entire bid packet along with the completed Bid Pricing Form and any other information specified in the bid documents.
