Small business set aside solicitation has been issued to Direct Push Drilling and Decommissioning Services at Well 12A Superfund site in Tacoma, Washington. Solicitation is subject to the Service Contract Act. The site consists primarily of industrial and commercial land in southwestern Tacoma, Washington. It is located approximately 4 miles southwest of the southernmost tip of Commencement Bay near the junction of Interstate 5 and State Highway 16 (Figure 1). The boundary of the Well 124 Site is not defined but comprises about 1 square mile. Municipal water supply Well 124 is located southwest of the former Time Oll property, on Pine Street between 38th Avenue and South Tacoma Way (Figure 1). It is the northernmost well in the City of Tacoma's south well field. The former Time Oil building is located in the northern portion of the site, approximately one-third of a mile north-northeast of Well 124. The former Time Oil property, located at 3011 and 3012 South Fife Street, is irregularly shaped and covers an area of about 2.5 acres between the railroad tracks to the north and South Tacoma Way to the south. CDM Federal Programs Corporation (CDM Smith [the Contractor]). is performing vapor intrusion monitoring to evaluate the vapor intrusion pathway at the Well 124 Superfund site (site) in Tacoma, Washington. This statement of work (SOW) describes services to be performed at the site, including direct push technology (DPT) drilling and decommissioning of soil gas probes, decommissioning of sub-slab vapor pins, and handling of Investigation-derived waste. Decommissioning activities will take place during one field mobilization event in August 2024 and includes three tasks: Abandonment of up to 15 shallow soil gas probes Repair and proper decommissioning of one previously abandoned soil probe location Abandonment of up to 6 sub-slab vapor pins in five businesses at the site.
