Furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work for the following project: 2024 Annual Contract for Hauling of Biosolids (Volkert Proj. No. 1074325). The work primarily consists of providing a dumpster for biosolids storage at the Saraland Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 104 Station St., Saraland, AL and hauling and disposing of the biosolids at an approved landfill or land application location.\ The undersigned further agrees that, in case of failure on his part to execute the said Contract and the bond within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written notice being given of the award of the contract, the check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of this bid accompanying this bid, not to exceed $10,000, and the monies payable thereon, shall be paid into the funds of the Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners of the City of Saraland, Alabama, as liquidated damages for such failure. Otherwise, the check or bid bond accompanying this proposal shall be returned to the undersigned. The Bidder further proposes and agrees hereby to commence Work with an adequate force and equipment at the time stated in the Notice to Proceed from the Owner or Engineer and fully complete performance within 365 consecutive calendar days from and after the date stated in said Notice to Proceed. This Contract may be extended in one (1) year increments for up to two (2) additional years if requested by the Owner and agreed upon by the Contractor. In the event of extending this Contract, the unit prices will remain unchanged and the requirements stated herein shall apply. No plans and specifications will be issued later than twentyfour (24) hours prior to bid submission time.
