The DeSoto County Engineering Division wishes to receive formal bids from Contractors for the replacement of the existing triple barrel metal arch pipe culverts with four (4) new round reinforced concrete pipes culverts at the location on SW Georgia Street as depicted in the Contract Plan Set. SCOPE: The Contractor shall remove the existing metal arch pipes and rip rap sand cement bag headwalls which were damaged by Hurricane Ian. The Contractor shall install three (3) 48-inch diameter and one (1) 42-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and the cast in place headwalls per FDOT Standard Plan Index 430-030 (FY 24-25 Edition), roadways and asphalt restoration in accordance with Desoto County Engineering Standard Detail D-17C (attached) and perform sod restoration of all disturbed areas. Note - The Plans Indicate HDPE Pipe, however all new pipes shall be reinforced concrete pipe per FDOT specifications. BUDGET/ESTIMATE The Budget / Estimate is $188,000.00. TIME FRAME: Substantial Completion shall be completed within One Hundred Twenty (120) Total Calendar Days of the Notice to Proceed with an additional Fifteen (15) Calendar Days for Final Completion which will allow time for County inspection and correction of deficiencies if noted. The total Contract will be for One Hundred Thirty-five (135) Calendar Days. The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners are in receipt of FEMA Funds and are seeking formal Proposals from qualified firms and/or individuals for the replacement of the culverts on SW Georgia Street as indicated within the context of this Bid.
