Reference Number: 0000359071 Qualified contractor for the purchase and/or repair of pumps and electric motors owned by the College as well as the purchase of parts to be utilized for repair of pumps and electric motors by college staff and the purchase of new pumps and motors if needed. 09/01/2024 to 08/31/2025 with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. Erie Community College intends to award this bid within two weeks of bid opening date Question Deadline 08/08/2024 at 11:59 PM ET Questions are submitted online: No Scope of work o Contractor will be required to test and evaluate for needed repairs and shall submit all parts and labor in quotation form for on-site supervisor to approve prior to any repairs. o Visually inspect motors and pump housings, inside and out, for any signs of wear, stress, corrosion and fatigue cracking or overheating damages. o Check and repair motor mounts to ensure there isn't any vibration so motor will stay in good working condition. o Scope of work that may be requested will vary and may consist of cleaning, baking, and checking motor or complete rewind/rebuild of motor. o Technician must have good troubleshooting skills and be qualified to replace seals, brushes, bearings, and shaft work. o Inspect and lube system (if applicable) - grease couplings and bearings, check, clean and tighten all components. o Contractor shall be completely responsible for their work, including any damages or breakdowns caused by their failure to take appropriate action. o Contractor will be required to restore the motor and all components to original condition and shall test motor or pump to ensure it is in good working order before it is returned to ECC with labeled repaired. o If Contractor is unable to repair or if motor is past the capability to be repaired, Contractor must report this information to the on-site supervisor and label equipment with a Lock Out Tag and return to ECC.
