Reference Number: 0000359070 Seeking qualified contractors to provide as needed commercial plumbing services. The College intends to award a primary and secondary contractor for this bid. Question Deadline 08/08/2024 at 11:59 PM ET Questions are submitted online: No . 09/01/2024 to 08/31/2025 with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. Erie Community College intends to award this bid within two weeks of bid opening date. Scope of work : Contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, material, parts, tools, and equipment (including qualified operators) to provide as needed commercial plumbing services. Services to include, but are not limited to, routine to emergency repair, inspections, and preventive maintenance. All projects must be submitted in quotation form and will be reviewed by on-site supervisor and the Custodian of Buildings & Grounds before the start of any work. The Contractor shall contact on-site supervisor upon arrival on campus or work site to confirm services that are to be rendered. This will also provide an opportunity for both parties to communicate and develop a clear understanding of the repairs needed. o Contractor is responsible for the protection of all buildings, structures and utilitiesthat are under or above ground or on the surface from their operations that may be hazardous and/or damaging to college facilities. o Contractor isresponsible for the protection of all students, visitors, and personnel against hazards and/or injuries due to their operations at the work site. o Contractor shall ensure frequent pick-up of all refuse, scrap materials and debris that result from their operations, so the work site always presents a neat and orderly appearance. All rubbish, scrap, etc. shall be transported from the premises. o At completion of work the Contractor shall remove all work materials, tools, equipment, and surplus materials from the work site andleave project in ready-to use condition. o The Contractor shall inspect the plumbing equipment and its operation upon request. As conditions warrant, the Contractor shall adjust, lubricate, clean, repair or replace parts in order to keep the equipment in proper and safe operatingcondition. o Contractor must be able to provide photographic documentation of work when requested and be able to provide internal piping and sewer video inspection and documentation when applicable. o Contractor is responsible to obtain a burn permit prior to any welding, burning, soldering on any college locations and discussscope of work and to notify building engineering personnel to disable facility fire alarm system. Upon completion of work Contractor is to notify on-site supervisors and engineering staff to inspect work and to enable fire alarm system. o If during the performance of services contactor determines that additional services are necessary, they shall notify Buildings and Grounds representative prior to beginning any work. Contractor shall provide the representative with a description of the services required, time required to perform service, and estimated cost. Upon Buildings of Grounds representative's approval of the work, the Contractor shall commence work and shall complete the services within a time schedule that is mutually agreed upon by both parties. o Contractor shall not subcontract any of the work without prior approval from the Custodian of Buildings & Grounds. Request for subcontracting is only allowed when specialized services are needed, and scope of work has been rendered that a certified Contractor is needed. Contractor will be responsible to pay any specialized services due to subcontractor and include a copy of invoicing with their billing of the project to the college. Invoicing must contain detailed and legible description of all completed work performed by specialized services.
