Questions Due Date: Aug 28th 2024, 12:00 PM EDT This work will consist of all labor, equipment, and materials needed for full width mill and overlay of approximately 600 SY on Pheasant Road. Some reprofiling of the road will be needed to achieve necessary grade for sufficient drainage. Construction of a roadside drainage swale, approximately 200 LF in length, will be included in the work to improve the drainage of runoff from Pheasant Road. The swale construction includes grading and stabilization. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $25,000. All Requests for Information shall be submitted online by 12:00 pm on August 28th to allow time to post an addendum online. No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email. Bids will be publicly awarded on September 17, 2024 at 7:00 pm (local time) at the Bechtelsville Borough Hall, 16 Railroad Street, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Bechtelsville Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough.
