In order to bid, documents MUST be obtained directly from the owner. 2024 Street Paving Project Contract No. 1 - Consisting of Approximately 1,850 Tons of Hot-mixed Asphalt Wearing Course in Place, 3,500 Square Yards of Standard Pavement Milling, and Miscellaneous Appurtenances. A Bid Must Be Accompanied by Bid Security Made Payable to Owner in an Amount of Five Percent of the Bid Price in the Form Contained in the Project Manual Issued by an Approved Surety or a Cashier's Check in This Amount. Performance and Payment Bonds Are Required in the Amount of 100% of Contract Amount Issued by an Approved Surety in the Form Contained in the Project Manual. The City of Spencer Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Including Without Limitation, Nonconforming, Non-responsive, Unbalanced, or Conditional Bids.Owner Further Reserves the Right to Reject the Bid of Any Bidder Whom It Finds, After Reasonable Inquiry and Evaluation, to Be Non-responsible. Owner May Also Reject the Bid of Any Bidder if Owner Believes That It Would Not Be in the Best Interest of the Project to Make an Award to That Bidder. Owner Also Reserves the Right to Negotiate Contract Terms With Successful Bidder. Question Deadline 08/22/2024 All questions concerning the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to OWNER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by OWNER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by OWNER as having received the Bidding Documents and having attended the pre-Bid conference, if a pre-Bid conference was held. Questions received at the OWNER's office less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered.
