As of September 26, 2025, this project has been tabled until further notice. The City of Winchester is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the sandblasting, repair, and painting of the steel structure of the MLK Bridge. The purpose of this project is to restore the structural integrity and aesthetic appearance of the bridge. o Sandblasting of all steel surfaces of the bridge to remove existing paint, rust, and other contaminants. o Inspection and repair of any damaged or corroded steel members. o Application of a high-quality, durable primer and finish coat of paint to all steel surfaces.
