The Project description generally is as follows: 1. BASE BID: Project consists of the preparation of, including lead paint abatement, and exterior repainting of exterior building concrete decorative elements and wood trim, fascia and other decorative moldings. 2. ALTERNATES: ADD ALTERNATE 1: Paint all window infills and window trims throughout. ADD ALTERNATE 2: Paint all wood soffits, stand alone columns, bases and capitals throughout. ADD ALTERNATE 3: Paint door & frame noted to be painted, trims noted and infilled areas on northern elevation. A 10% Bid Bond is required, and is to be included with the Bid Proposal. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond within ten (10) days of formal Award of Contract. This information will be available up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled bid opening time. After that deadline, no information pertaining to the project will be given. The general prevailing rate of wage for the Peoria area shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract or perform this work as required by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. Liquidated Damages for delay (but not as a penalty) Contractor shall pay Owner TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for each calendar day that expires after seventy-two (72) calendar days from Notice of Award until Substantial Completion is attained. The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on August 29, 2024 and be at Substantial Completion by November 8, 2024. The Peoria Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technical deficiencies, informalities or irregularities or rebid any project.
