Splashpad Development Lakeview Park This project is funded in part by the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant Program administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. A 10% Bid Bond is required, and is to be included with the Bid Proposal. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond within ten (10) days of formal Award of Contract. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as Liquidated Damages for delay (but not as a penalty) Contractor shall pay Owner TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for each calendar day that expires after TWO HUNUDRED THIRTY SEVEN (237) calendar days from Notice of Award until Substantial Completion is attained. The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on AUGUST 21, 2024 and be at Substantial Completion by AUGUST 15, 2025. After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work necessary to achieve Final Completion within TEN (10) calendar days or any proper extension thereof granted by Owner, Contractor shall pay Owner TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($ 250.00 ) dollars for each day that expires after the time specified. The Peoria Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technical deficiencies, informalities or irregularities or rebid any project.
