The City of Grand Forks Public Works Department is requesting sealed bids for the following: Washed Sand for Ice Control Any deletions, variations or exceptions to the specifications must be explained and submitted with the bid. The total bid price shall not include any North Dakota sales tax, for which an exemption certificate can be furnished. Bidder will guarantee bid price for 90 days from the award of bid for washed sand. Quantities are estimated and are intended to establish a base bid. Fuel surcharges may be negotiated between Contractor and State when fuel prices rise 15% or more from the fuel prices in effect on the day the solicitation is opened. The Energy Information Agency Diesel and Gasoline Price Indexes will be used for the contract The City of Grand Forks reserved the right to accept or reject any or all bids or part thereof, to accept one or more items of a bid without obligation as to other items, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. Contractor must have operational capabilities and available delivery equipment to promptly deliver materials in coordination with the Street Division, prefer a minimum five (5) belly dump trucks, each with a minimum capacity of 15 cubic yards. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid that is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
