The City of Oakland, Illinois is requesting that interested parties submit a "Request for Proposal" in accordance with written (RFP) guidelines as approved by the City and by the State of Illinois for demolition services in connection with a 395,000 IHDA Strong Communities Program (SCP) award, starting with two homes in the City of Oakland. Scope of Work for Demolition, Recycling and Disposal Service, Seeding and Creation of Green Space General: The project includes demolition of two (2) properties in the City of Oakland, Illinois. The addresses of those properties are as follows: 634 Maple St. - 318 Ashmore Rd. As of the date of this proposal, the City of Oakland has control of both of these properties. Electric and gas should be removed and disconnected to the site. The communication lines (phone, cable etc) should also be removed. The demolition service provider will direct and coordinate activities with Coles County Regional Planning staff and other agencies in accordance with IHDA program policies and regulations. The provider will work under the general supervision of Kevin McReynolds, Grants Compliance Manager ("Manager") with Coles County Regional Planning. The Project is to be completed by October 15, 2024. Please provide an estimated time frame for the project, this will be a determining factor in awarding the contract.
