Bishop High School Math/English/BES Building Four Evaporative Cooler Replacement and Reroof of BUHS Math and English Buildings HVAC Replacement and Reroof of Bishop Elementary's Building Four District sealed proposals for the award bid to re-roof the Bishop Union High School Math/English/Bishop Elementary Building Four as well as the HVAC Replacement of each building. Bid should include the following: Remove existing HVAC (on building four at BES) and evaporative cooling units (at BUHS on the English and Math buildings) and roof, clear of all debris, install cover board such as Dens Deck or other similar roof board. Install new PVC roofing over the cover board. Install all necessary roof flashings and pipe flashings. Install new HVAC system on building four which is equivalent or has higher BTU cooling and heating capacity. Install new evaporative cooling units on the Math and English buildings. The coolers must be equivalent or have higher CFM/sq ft ability All contractors/subcontractors must be registered and in good standing with the Department of Industrial Relation. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposal. The District also reserves the right to alter the scope of the project in order to complete work within the District budget. A payment Bond, Performance Bond, Workers Compensation Certificate and Certificate of Insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. The aforementioned bonds and certificates shall be in the form called for in the contract documents. All workers will be required to pass a DOJ Live Scan background check prior to being on campus. The District has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract: These rates are on file at the District Office. The schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of eight (8) hours. The rate for holiday and overtime work shall be at least time and one-half. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded (Contractor), and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specific rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract. It is Contractors responsibility to determine any rate change which may have or will occur during the intervening period between each issuance of written rates by the Director of Industrial Relations.
